Entering Keywords

You can enter keywords into the search field at the top of the screen.

Entering Keywords Directly

To enter a keyword into the search field, perform the following steps:

  1. In the search menu, select the search field at the top of screen to open the QWERTY keyboard at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Use the QWERTY keyboard to enter a keyword in the search field.

  3. After you enter the keyword, select Search to display the search results screen.

Using Auto-completed Keywords

Auto-completed keywords allow you to search for content without entering entire keywords.

  1. In the search menu, select the search field at the top of screen to open the QWERTY keyboard at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Use the QWERTY keyboard to begin entering the keyword. Below the search field, there is a list of auto-completed keywords that begin with the entered string.

  3. Select a keyword on the auto-completed keyword list to display the search results screen for that keyword.

Using Direct Search

Direct Search is a search assistant that displays search results related to the keywords you enter.

Select an item from the results to open it directly without going to the search results screen.

  1. In the search menu, select the search field at the top of screen to open the QWERTY keyboard at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Use the QWERTY keyboard to begin entering the keyword. The Direct Search list appears to the right of the auto-completed keyword list below the search field.

  3. Select the desired content on the Direct Search list to open it.

  • The Direct Search list displays apps, VODs, TV programs, and Smart TV shortcuts. The Direct Search list may not display any results if it cannot locate content that contains the keyword or the search results are beyond the support range.

  • Direct Search is a search assistant. Even though it may not display any content, it does not mean that there are no search results.
    Select Search to perform a normal search.

Searching by Voice

You can perform searches by saying keywords directly into your Magic Remote Control.

To use voice recognition for searches, perform the following steps:

  1. In the search field, select .

    • The QWERTY keyboard that appears when you select the search field also features a voice recognition function.

    • Even when the QWERTY keyboard is displayed, you can still use the Voice Recognition () button on the Magic Remote Control to access the voice recognition function.

  2. Say a keyword into the Magic Remote Control to display the voice recognition results on the screen.

    • If there is only one voice recognition result, then the Search Results screen opens automatically.

  3. Look for the desired keyword in the voice recognition results.

    • If the desired keyword does not appear, select Retry and say the keyword again.

  4. Select the desired keyword to open the search results for that keyword.

  • You can search by voice while entering a keyword into the search field. Select on the QWERTY keyboard, and then say the keyword into the Magic Remote Control.

  • The success rate of voice recognition may change depending on the ambient noise, voice volume, pronunciation, intonation, or speaking speed.
