LG Smart World is an app store that provides various apps from games, entertainments, and education to living information on Smart TV. You can install and enjoy apps on the big screen of Smart TV.

To use LG Smart World, you must log in to your LG TV account. For more information on how to log in to your LG TV account, refer to the Sign In section of Smart Features.

Checking App Details

On the app's detailed information screen, you can install or rate it. In addition, you can share information of the selected content via a SNS.

On the detailed information screen for the app, you can select the following functions:

  • LG Smart World Search

    When using LG Smart World select the Search button () at the top of the screen.

    • You can search for apps using LG Smart World.

    • You can search for content offered by a different service while searching.

    • You can check for paid or free apps, and sort search results by genre, popularity, and the newest date.

  • Install

    Install the selected app.

  • Rate

    Rate the selected app by selecting a star rating.

  • Like

    Share information of the selected app via a SNS.

  • Feedback to developers

    Send a comment to the developers of the app.

Installing Apps

In addition to the apps preinstalled on your Smart TV, you can install lots of free and paid apps from
LG Smart World.

To install an app on your Smart TV, perform the following steps:

  1. Select Smart Home () > LG Smart World.

  2. Log in to your LG TV account.

  3. Select an app to see its details.

  4. Select the Install button and then check the system requirements for the app in the window that appears.

  5. Select the OK button to install the app on your Smart TV.

    • When the app begins to install, an Installing... button appears at the top of the screen.

    • Select the Installing... button to show a list of the apps being installed. You can select at any time to cancel the installation process.

Select Smart Home () > More to see the apps installed on Smart TV.

Notes for Installing Apps

  • Do not turn off your Smart TV or disconnect it from the network while installing an app as the app may be installed improperly.

  • If the storage space on your Smart TV is insufficient, you can connect a USB storage device to your Smart TV and install the app on the USB storage device.

  • You can move, delete, and run apps stored on a USB storage device in MY APPS.

  • You must go through the adult authentication process to access adult content.

  • You cannot install an app immediately after you cancel its installation.

  • The size of the app and the network environment may affect the time needed to download and install an app.

Paying for Apps

You must use one of the available payment methods to install a paid app on your Smart TV.
