Connecting USB Devices

You can connect a USB device to your Smart TV to view the content stored in it.

Notes for Using USB Devices
  • SmartShare™ does not support some USB devices that use automatic recognition or driver software.

  • Some USB devices may not function correctly with SmartShare™.

  • Use only FAT32 or NTFS formatted USB devices.

  • We recommend using only external USB hard drives that operate at a 5 V and 500 mA or less rated current.

  • We recommend using only USB hubs and USB hard drive that have a dedicated power supply. If the power is insufficient, your Smart TV may not properly recognize the USB device.

  • We recommend using only USB storage devices with a capacity of 32 GB or less.

  • We recommend using only USB hard drives with a capacity of 2 TB or less.

  • If you encounter an error while connecting a USB hard drive with a dedicated power supply, unplug the power cord and then plug it in again. For more details on troubleshooting USB hard drives, refer to the user guide for the USB hard drive.

  • Back up any important data. Data stored on USB Device is subject to damage. Data management is the responsibility of the user and the manufacturer is not responsible for any data loss.
