Miracast™

Connecting a Miracast™ enabled smartphone to your Smart TV through a wireless network (Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct) allows you to view the smartphone screen on your Smart TV.

Connecting from Your Smart TV

To connect a smartphone to your Smart TV through Miracast, perform the following steps:

  1. On your Smart TV, select Smart Home () > Settings > .

  2. Select Miracast™/Intel® WiDi, and then set it to On.

  3. At the top of your smartphone screen, tap Miracast to activate it. The smartphone should appear on the list of available smartphones on your Smart TV.

  4. Select a smartphone to connect it to your Smart TV. A popup window should appear on the smartphone to confirm the connection.

  5. Tap the Accept button.

Connecting from Your Smartphone

To connect a smartphone to your Smart TV through Miracast, perform the following steps:

  1. On your Smart TV, select Smart Home () > Settings > .

  2. Select Miracast™/Intel® WiDi, and then set it to On.

  3. At the top of your smartphone screen, tap Miracast to activate it. The smartphone should appear on the list of available smartphones on your Smart TV.

  4. On your smartphone, select your Smart TV. A popup window should appear on your Smart TV to confirm the connection.

  5. Select the Yes button.

  • After you connect your Smart TV to a smartphone, you can view the smartphone screen on your TV.

  • When you set Miracast™/Intel® WiDi to On, Wi-Fi Direct also turns On.

  • The Miracast™ connection may not work well when the smartphone is connected with a wireless AP.

  • If possible, connect your device to a 5 GHz access point.

  • Devices that do not comply with Miracast™ standards may have compatibility issues.

  • Non-LG devices may be discoverable, but your Smart TV may not be able to connect to them.

  • For detailed instructions on how to use the connected device, refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer.

  • Some LG smartphones support Tag On connections.

  • Some LG smartphones support Miracast™ connections while connected to an AP.
