Establishing a Wireless Network Connection

A wireless network connection connects your Smart TV to a wireless router.

To connect your Smart TV to a wireless network, perform the following steps:

  1. Insert the wireless dongle into the USB port on your Smart TV.

  2. Select Smart Home () > Settings > .

  3. Select Network Connection.

  4. Select the Start Connection button.

  5. Select the Other Network List button.

    • If a LAN cable is connected to your Smart TV, then your Smart TV automatically connects to the wired network.

  6. Select a network from the list of wireless networks.

    • If the wireless network that you want to connect to is secured, then is displayed.

    • When the password input box appears on the screen, enter the network password and then select the OK button.

  7. Select the OK button to establish the wireless network connection.

  • To connect to a wireless network, you must insert the dongle into the USB port on your Smart TV.

  • If your Smart TV has a built-in wireless functionality, you can connect to a wireless network without a wireless dongle.

Establishing a Wireless Connection Manually

You can manually select the router, SSID, WPS, and PIN number when you connect to a wireless network.

Selecting a Router

To select the wireless router that your Smart TV connects to, perform the following steps:

  1. Insert the wireless dongle into the USB port on your Smart TV.

  2. Select Smart Home () > Settings > .

  3. Select Network Connection.

  4. Select the Start Connection button.

  5. Select the Other Network List button to display the network list.

    • If a LAN cable is connected to your Smart TV, then your Smart TV automatically connects to the wired network.

  6. Select the Manual Setup button.

  7. Select the Wireless button to open the screen where you can select the connection method.

  8. Select the AP List button.

  9. Select a wireless router.

    • If the router you select is secured, then is displayed.

    • When the password input box appears on the screen, enter the network password and then select the OK button.

  10. Enter the desired IP information.

    • Auto Input: the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server information is entered automatically.

    • Manual Input: you must enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS information manually.

  11. Select the OK button to establish the network connection.

Inputting the SSID

To manually input the SSID of the wireless router when you connect your Smart TV to the network, perform the following steps:

  1. Insert the wireless dongle into the USB port on your Smart TV.

  2. Select Smart Home () > Settings > .

  3. Select Network Connection.

  4. Select the Start Connection button.

  5. Select the Other Network List button to display the network list.

    • If a LAN cable is connected to your Smart TV, then your Smart TV automatically connects to the wired network.

  6. Select the Manual Setup button.

  7. Select the Wireless button to open the screen where you can select the connection method.

  8. Select the Enter the SSID button.

  9. Enter the SSID of the router you want to use.

  10. Select the OK button to open the screen where you can select the encryption method.

  11. Select the encryption method of the router.

  12. Enter the network password.

  13. Select the OK button to open a screen where you can input the network information.

  14. Enter the desired IP information.

    • Auto Input: the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server information is entered automatically.

    • Manual Input: you must enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS information manually.

  15. Select the OK button to establish the network connection.

Using WPS-PBC

To use the Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS) function of a router that supports push button configuration (PBC), perform the following steps:

  1. Insert the wireless dongle into the USB port on your Smart TV.

  2. Select Smart Home () > Settings > .

  3. Select Network Connection.

  4. Select the Start Connection button.

  5. Select the Other Network List button to display the network list.

    • If a LAN cable is connected to your Smart TV, then your Smart TV automatically connects to the wired network.

  6. Select the Manual Setup button.

  7. Select the Wireless button to open the screen where you can select the connection method.

  8. Select the WPS-PBC button.

  9. Press the WPS button on the wireless router.

  10. Select the Connect button on the Smart TV screen.

  11. Enter the desired IP information.

    • Auto Input: the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server information is entered automatically.

    • Manual Input: you must enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS information manually.

  12. Select the OK button to establish the network connection.

Entering the WPS-PIN

To enter the PIN for the wireless router when you connect to the network, perform the following steps:

  1. Insert the wireless dongle into the USB port on your Smart TV.

  2. Select Smart Home () > Settings > .

  3. Select Network Connection.

  4. Select the Start Connection button.

  5. Select the Other Network List button to display the network list.

    • If a LAN cable is connected to your Smart TV, then your Smart TV automatically connects to the wired network.

  6. Select the Manual Setup button.

  7. Select the Wireless button to open the screen where you can select the connection method.

  8. Select the WPS-PIN button.

  9. Select a wireless router to display its PIN.

  10. Enter the PIN on the settings screen of the wireless router to which you want to connect.

  11. Select the Connect button on the Smart TV screen.

  12. Enter the desired IP information.

    • Manual Input: you must enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS information manually.

  13. Select the OK button to establish the network connection.
